On December 27th, 2017, Step Up conducted a two-day teacher’s training program for 60 English teachers from 12 federal government colleges in the province of KPK, which are run under the Ministry of Defence. These colleges include Piffers Schools and Colleges in Abbottabad, Burki, and Sikandarabad. The program aimed to enhance the teaching skills of the teachers and equip them with the latest teaching techniques and methodologies.

The program was facilitated by the RELO office of the US Consulate in Peshawar, which provided resource materials to the trainees. Our project coordinators for this program were Mr. Imran Khalid and Mr. Mohammad Usman, while the trainers were Ms. Sadia Nawaz and Dr. Ather Rasheed from the National University of Modern Languages (NUML) in Islamabad.

The audience for the training consisted of English teachers from 12 F.G schools and colleges in the Abbottabad region. The training covered a range of topics, including language teaching strategies, classroom management, and the use of technology in teaching. Participants found the program to be highly beneficial, and we were pleased to have contributed to the improvement of English language teaching in the region.
